George Washington depareted the presidency with a farewell address in September of 1796 with providing extreme importance towards his core beliefs that washington hope would continue to guide the nation. "The name of American, which belongs to you, in your national capacity, must always exalt the just pride of patriotism, more than any appellation derived from local distinctions"
War of 1812
War of 1812, (June 18, 1812–February 17, 1815), was a conflict fought between the United States and Great Britain over British violations of U.S. maritime rights. It ended with the exchange of ratifications of the Treaty of Ghent. United States won.
Monroe Doctrine
The Monroe Doctrine is the best known U.S. policy toward the Western Hemisphere. Buried in a routine annual message delivered to Congress by President James Monroe in December 1823, the doctrine warns European nations that the United States would not tolerate further colonization or puppet monarchs.
Manifest Destiny
It is a term for the attitude prevalent during the 19th century period of american expansion from coast to coast. It helped fuel western settlement, native american removal, and war with mexico. Originated in the 1940's.

It is a term that refers to the economic, military, and cultural influence of the united states internationally mostly during the late 19th century and early 20th century. Annexation of Hawaii in 1898.
Roosevelt Corollary
The Roosevelt Corollary was an addition to the Monroe Doctrine articulated by President Theodore Roosevelt in his State of the Union address in 1904 after the Venezuela Crisis of 1902–03.
World War I
World War I, also known as the First World War, or the Great War, was a global war originating in Europe that lasted from 28 July 1914 to 11 November 1918. It was started after the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand and the US entered in 1917.

World War II, also known as the Second World War, was a global war that lasted from 1939 to 1945, although related conflicts began earlier. This war contains the Holocaust and the berlin wall. Communism was a major conflict.

The Truman Doctrine was an American foreign policy created to counter Soviet geopolitical spread during the Cold War. It was first announced to Congress by President Harry S. Truman on March 12, 1947 and further developed on July 12, 1948 when he pledged to contain Soviet threats to Greece and Turkey.
